Welcome to my newsletter “Nick’s Kōrero”, political satire, news, and views, from Aotearoa New Zealand. Writing about our people, our stories, the choices we have, and some other things too.

Subscribe to get full access. This is my income, it’s what I do. So I’m very grateful for your support enabling me to do it and share it with hope, horror, and humour.

Q&A

Q: Where do I go to subscribe?
A: Right here.

Q: And how much does it cost?
A: $7.99 per month, which is $1.84 a week, or $85 for the year, which is $1.63 per week.

Q: Goodness, that seems reasonable, so what do I get for my money?
A: You'll get access to all my newsletters - all the old ones, and the new ones will arrive in your inbox at least three times per week. Plus you’ll be able to add comments and take part in discussions.

Q: OK, but I feel like I need something more.
A: You’ll get to support my writing, a different voice to much of the media. This may involve a feel good factor.

Q: I’ll take your word for it, but lets say I want to try before I buy, what then?
A: Easy, where an article is pay-walled you can click for a free 7 day trial.

Q: On reflection I really like it and want to support it more, could I pay more?
A: Nobody likes a smart arse you know. But in case you’re serious you can opt for a Patron subscription of $120 a year. That’s the minimum, you can pay as much as you would like.

Discussions

So much communication on social media is a negative experience, there are no trolls in the discussions on my site, but a group of intelligent thoughtful folks (that’s you) sharing thoughts and ideas. By all means disagree or provide alternative arguments but in a civil way.

If you were having a conversation in a bar you wouldn’t feel obliged to include the neanderthal at the next table saying idiotic offensive things. I don’t see why we should have to put up with that online either.
