Why be afraid of AI? It is just a technology, and Tech can be used and abused, as can any other medium. I use AI frequently, for technical details for a variety of topics, when I want some specific technical detail. The answers are on the internet, AI just searches and presents them much quicker than a manual summary. Many of the corporates are now using AI for their customer interface, which I find particularly useless as the 'canned' questions and answers never fit what I want to arrange. A faulty implementation of tech! We used to say "bend, spike, and mutilate.." or to put it another way, use udl.co.nz (Utilities Disputes) whenever AI does not work for you.
A really interesting korero Nick. AI along with every new invention of the time has the potential for both positive and negative uses. Time where biros were banned in schools, now the debate is over phone use. Technology never stands still, the challenge has always been to use it wisely. Unfortunately our species has demonstrated time and again that military usage pays great dividends both financially and the promotion of a colonizing hegemony. I'm sure the war machine is salivating at this new brain child
I think Nick it would serve you well to more comprehensively understand how energy works so you have a broader view of our future and its use of AI for the technologies you’re imagining.
I would have thought like you a few years ago until I began to read and listen to voices not heard in mainstream media, although they are beginning to be heard in some countries like Scandinavia and Europe who are having to confront the energy reality due to war.
A thought provoking read :)
Exciting news!!
So… what happens to the human ability for emotional spontaneity? Oh silly me, forgot, that doesn’t make MONEY
“Logan’s Run” might possibly the next movie the dictatorial moneymakers have install for us. Don’t want pesky old people cluttering up the planet
AI is with us. Strict rules and regulations needed in regard to use of it as long as it is beneficial to mankind.
