Well you can't get what you want
But you can get me
So let's set out to sea, love
'Cause you are my medicine
When you're close to me
When you're close to me

Morena,
I’m a little out of the loop when it comes to current news stories, which is to say that I know what they are, but I haven’t had enough time to think about them in order to write about them. So today, I’ll cover a few of the headlines in our media this morning rather than backtrack to events that have already been well-traversed.
If you can’t look away from all that Trump stuff—and, of course, a train wreck analogy doesn’t even begin to cover it—then I highly recommend Robert Reich's writing. His coverage has been excellent, and he might restore your faith in Americans a little.
While we’re on it, I’m going to take the opportunity, as I don’t think one has presented itself previously, to say that when it came to responding to this, our Prime Minister did ok!
He didn’t go above or beyond or do anything more than the minimum you would expect, but to date, the minimum that you might expect is not a height that Christopher Luxon has reached. So, well said that man, or whoever wrote it for him.

The first article that caught my interest was The Weekend: Leaders with poor convictions and scripted communications.
Obviously, it sounded like Christopher Luxon, that single tweet above excepted, but who else was the headline meaning?
Seymour? That would be less “poor convictions” and more “no convictions” - hey, he’s not Party President. Sorry - I’ll get my coat. But to give him credit, Seymour can communicate well; it’s just the content that’s rubbish.
