"For someone to have earned a patch, there is some stuff that needs to have happened." Same applies for members of the National Party Gang.

Luxon started his political life with a cliché. He spent 2 years repeating clichés and buzz words. His tenure as PM will be marked by buzz words and clichés.

Lux-on is an insult to Aotearoa-nz.

I'm going live in a lux-free zone for 3 years. I won't miss a thing.

I couldn't believe it when Mark Mitchell apparently came up with that solution to facial tattoos. My sister told me about it- I had missed the announcement on the Breakfast show apparently. What a feckin clown he is. Next thing we'll hear that even though the Nats are going to cut the number of Public servants they are at the same time going to increase the number of ministeries. I'm expecting to hear they intend to borrow from Monty Python, and institute a Ministry of Funny Walks. Old clumpy Nicola Willis qualifies to be the minister.

I loved that reply. Ministry of Funny Walks. So good:)

I am considerably more offended by tax evasion from the already wealthy, than I am by facial tattoos.

Only a few hours to go. I'm in the camp that is hoping for a large dose of Winnie in the mix, and that he will be as disruptive as only he can be. And of course that the specials follow the usual trend, and favour the left.

Empty vessels and all that. If only we could look forward to the “reporters” holding him to account and insisting on him answering questions.

Imagine the phone call:-

CL: Hi Winston, how are you?

WP: Mr Peters to you, sonny.

CL: Oh, sorry err Mr Peters. Now about this election result.....

WP interrupts: You need me then.

CL: Well of course we have a process and need to move ahead and get the country back on track and....

WP interrupts: Sonny, the election finished three weeks ago. You need me and I am not working with that pip-squeek from ACT so he stays out of government on a supply and whatever, I am deputy PM, Foreign Minister and my people have at least 3 cabinet seats, is that clear?

CL: We have a process and need to move ahead and get the country back on track and we have had discussions in a constructive way and I am sure we can get moving very......

WP puts the phone down

CL: Hello, hello, Winston....err sorry Mr Peters?

CL puts the phone down and turns to Nicola, "He put the phone down on me!!"

Chris Bishop and Nicola snigger behind CL's back.........

I must say that I have been impressed that Peters and Seymour have managed to keep their mouths shut until today - wonder what Luxon said to them? The three of them are the complete opposite of what we need to lead the country forward, but at least now they might be able to keep each other's worst excesses in check. Hope the recounts in marginal seats don't make it any easier for them to negotiate their way out of the locked and chained underwater box in which they are locked.
