No, this is not a temporary holding back of history but a great tidal wave of neoliberalism. Petty-minded loathing is sweeping all before it, washing away togetherness, cooperation, and, most of all, kindness. Scorching our society so that nothing will grow in the infertile remains for decades to come? That’s what they want.
