Think of the capabilities of the human mind. Its ability to create, strategise, communicate - and then think about the people we’ve got in prominent positions. Seems like something went wrong somewhere along the way.

Our democratic meritocracy has resulted in the sort of leaders that should an alien species arrive and ask to be taken to them we’d probably make an excuse saying they were busy that day. Unless the aliens were looking a bit hungry, in which case the cooked delights I’m speaking of might be right up their alley.

By which I mean top of the menu. It’s about time some of these people did something useful for the rest of us.
