Why don't the hoskings just move to Australia ? Or is that even the Australian Media don't want his type ?? Which seems odd as when I has on the GC in August last year I watched enough of Fox news Australian style to just about be violently ill , and I thought that hosking would be a good fit.
The history of Newstalk and its flag ship the Herald makes for sorry and boring reading. Newstalk stars the saddest bunch of political lap dogs (they are named and shamed by wiki) all vying to be the clever one who takes PM Hipkins scalp. They spent millions trying to drag his predecessor down in their orchestrated anti women election lead up; but she again made history with a sidestep. Is red neck scaremongering from Napier/Hastings likely to sway the millions who listen to popular light music on Newstalk? Unlikely imo, given the money going into the region for cyclone damage relief.

Kate was obviously using the notes Mark Mitchell gave her because there was so little crime under the last NACT govt they were able to shut down a bunch of Police Stations and reduce the size of the force. Just as they underfunded the Health budget and the Education one. Would be great if some journalist - if there are any left in NZ - would publish the actual statistics to show the true picture.

Interesting survey today on TV (can't recall by whom) showing that it's actually the cost of living that is hot topic crime not so much. And good news - Labour has increased the pension! Hurray. Good to see Greens coming up in the latest poll by the way.

My worst nightmare is that I’ve had a stroke and can’t move or communicate and have to listen to Newstalk ZB all day!
very entertaining as always. you really captured the tone of the self-superiority of some of those leafy suburb dwellers who cant imagine the sort of world that others have had to live in. judging people for living in a different world instead of wanting to hear their stories. judging is more comfortable.
