Do you remember at school, studying the rise of fascism in the 1930s and the horrors that followed?

Well, even ignoring the genocide currently taking place in Gaza, which is apparently the polite thing to do, I can’t help wondering if the second half of this decade will be one that future generations look back at and ask - how the hell did that happen?

Everyone could see what was coming, and yet nobody did anything to stop it, as if the fact that half the population voted for it means we’re seeing a continuation of democracy as normal. We’re not.

Today, terrible things overseas, bad stuff here, and some lighter entertainment from across the Tasman to end, so it doesn’t feel too gloomy because, no sugar coating it, this stuff sucks like Casey Costello on the end of a packet of Rothmans.
