Agree, thank you Nick. I hadn't heard of her until the utterly shameful persecution of Benjamin Doyle - and, lest we forget, that was perpetuated by the very nasty vitriol of one Winston Peters. Since then we've seen the personal smear of both Hipkins and Sherman - it seems that the nasty and vitriolic attacks are increasing from the right, including some politicians enabling in the background and this woman appears to lead much of it - truly abhorrent and must be called out.
This is so distasteful- thanks Nick for reminding us of her sheer hypocrisy. Long live Bomber, he is a stalwart of left-wing bloggers providing an outstanding service and weekly podcast. I have been proud to be a blogger on his site since 2013.

Ani O'Brien is a nasty piece of work. It feels to me, that she has a bloody big chip on her shoulder, which gives she thinks gives her the permission to write and leak mis/disinformation of those who are more successful and a hell of a lot more likeable than her.
It must surely be detrimental to one's mental health to be so consistently nasty,and not because someone has been unkind to you but just for the sake of being nasty? How do people get to be like this?
I’m not sure it works that way…it seems to me the people struggling most with mental health are those who are empathetic. The nasty just carry on, always happy with themselves. Woefully unaffected, inhuman.

I remember "Bomber" from The Panel on RNZ when Jim Mora hosted it. I always liked what he had to say until one day he was sacked, totally sidelined by RNZ. He was frank and opinionated, but I never heard anything offensive. Now we are left with Wallace discussing such topical things like whether we should clean our teeth with an up and down or a round and round stroke.
If Ani is quick enough, perhaps with the “stepping down” of Karoline Leavitt from her role as White House press secretary, she might have a chance to fill the position. She certainly seems to have all the qualities of someone who’s not afraid to speak out on behalf of others, but also able to stab others in the back with her words.
Apart from these excellent attributes she does rather remind me of Donald’s daughter Ivanka, just like most of his staff, which would be the icing on the cake and great for her chances. I’m sure Donald would agree, with that caring, paternal nature he’s famous for……
Do as I say. Not as I do. Always shameful. I am so sad about what my beautiful country is becoming. I'm glad I'm in my eighties. I won't see the awful ending.
I was listening to Bomber and also BHN, yesterday, wondering what was happening. Thanks so much for your excellent writing Nick. I do hope the court read what you have written. I don't know what has happened to this country. So sad! Im thankful for kindred spirits like everyone here.

I read somewhere yesterday that the Free Speech Union and the Tax Payers Union (formerly the Business Roundtable, still a very right wing advocacy) actually have offices next door to each other. Surprise, surprise!
She is a very clever writer - she manages to malign other political parties/people whilst effectively concealing her own bias for extreme right wing politics. Her followers lap it up, so she is effectively reinforcing their opinion rather than challenging them to seek verification of her claims.
This korero rightfully demonstrates the false premise that only right wing mistruths and statements are to be allowed whilst everyone else's are unacceptable. Free speech only to slander rhe left!

Not only is Ani a nasty hypocrite, she also forgot the first rule of true advocate- If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Benjamin Doyle was treated abominably badly, thanks to her. Aotearoa lost a committed, hard-working MP when he was driven out.
