Thanks Nick. Made me cry but in a good way. I cry about the heartfelt stuff just as much as about the nasty, evil stuff. You've helped balance that out today. BTW, everyday is valentines day when you love the people around you 💗
Great post Nick. Thanks for reminding me it's Valentines Day and I will be saying to my John, where's my flowers and chocolates! Seriously, there is nothing better than a true partnership in a marriage (or substitute). My is now 45 years old and I treasure it every day. We have a love story to tell one day.
Lovely words Nick / as you note it’s very sad that not all men are like you - the sexism and racism is appalling and people like Trump are opening the door wide and making it ok to do this- thankfully there are many more who don’t think or feel like this
Thanks Nick, for sharing the ‘love’ (and the video - love it).
I can’t stay away from the politics. There is a connection because of the love you have for your daughter. Do Luxon’s, Seymour’s, Brown’s parents (et al) love their offspring? I hope so, but the follow up is - do they approve of them? I hope not, and that’s sad.
I deliberately don’t mention John Bishop the founding chairman of NZTPU
Great post, Nick - very moving. My middle name is Valentine, so every year since we met Dad has given me flowers on this day - today, no exception. I've always loved Valentine's Day - a wonderful celebration.
Next time you see your uncle, Nick, tell him Jacqui says kia ora. I have an email address but it's a bit old, which might explain his lack of response.
Lovely post Nick and so good to be able to share your love for Fi and the pride in your family. A nice start to the day thank you.

Thanks Nick. Happiest valentine stream of consciousness ever! Glad you got up early. Here’s to love, and the fairer sex. Every day. ♥️
Lovely piece, Nick. Thank you. And thank you too for the Daily Show clip. Oh my, Jon is so welcome back.
