Winny has played this superbly from his point of view and has clearly established who will be in charge of this coalition of clowns. When things go wrong though he will make sure he is not the one who fronts to take any blame. Love this comment from Russell Jones in the UK describing a Tory MP and thought it fits our new ego driven and hopeful PM. "He is like an explosion in a nothing factory."
It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic and the wellbeing of our country, and it's citizens, at stake. I'm really hoping for lots of civil unrest, protests, petitions, marches against every ridiculous thing they try to implement.
Trouble is there's nothing we can do about our global reputation once the clown starts his overseas glad-handing ugh
Great read as always. Thanks for the survey. I read an article recently in an Economist Magazine that looked at the economies of populist and sensible governments (their term) that basically found the economy just keeps on regardless. However, for me it's which government delivers on social.justice which would definitely put me in tbe very concerned category.
Mr Peters, as you rightly point out in your kōrero, is the king-maker and is never going to march to the beat of either Luxon or Seymour’s drum. He is the consummate politician who knows what he can get away with to call the tune. The flapping mouths of the harpie journos is so much screeching white noise that offers nothing of insight….as ever!
Your observation that this is the honeymoon period and ‘is as good as it gets’ is spot on. Meanwhile the turkeys that voted for NZ to shift to the right are busy preparing their works Christmas hampers in which their trussed, redundant bodies are the main item.
The news speak so exquisitely prophesied by Orwell has hoodwinked so many of us into believing that we deserve to be unemployed by Christmas, that the poor are to blame for their malaise and that Right is right come-what-may
And the people voted for this coalition which is as divided as ever with egocentric leaders. The oldest is the most cunning and will reap what he can get and then spit the dummy if the other two don’t dance to his tune!
Well said Nick. I hope those conservative people who spout 'change for change sake' are squirming right now. The change they want is to go backwards and do nothing! So embarrassing that two weeks have passed and the country is still waiting. So hilarious that Damien O'Connor is going to APEC!

I’m not impressed that politicians feel they can play games with peoples lives like we DONT MATTER
Did Seeless let slip in his report , (in 2 days) so Thursday might be the BIG DAY Fingers crossed let the show begin
Someone reduced the Coalition of Chaos to: CoCs.
That works 😉

Robbie Burns said it - "The best laid plans...."
My hope as well, but this is plans of rats.imo

That survey shows an impressive amount of concern...ans my vote isn't even included!
