I listened to luxon on RNZ this morning , man they picked a muppett to lead the nats, he simply could not answer Corin's direct question , the obfuscation was just dismal , NZ is going to be in a real bind if this lot are elected next year. and yes his comments regarding the poll were just more word salads, at 20% he should be tendering his resignation , he doesn't connect with people at all.
Well my take on the poll was that James Shaw after nearly being ousted as party leader by a few Green party delegates registered on the preferred PM poll and Labour increased its percentage of party vote from the last poll. Meanwhile, Chris Luxon went down in the preferred PM poll and Act decreased its percentage of party vote from the last poll. Overall it was a better poll for the left than the right.
Thanks for the giggle Nick. I especially liked the reference to Jessica "Jessica then Tova." Tova must have been frustrated at being second best. Perhaps that drove herto asking some of the ridiculous questions she was prone to. For me Tova has disappeared from my consciousnes because I haven't bothered to tune into her radio programme. Probably should do. I might be missing something. Unfortunately we are going to have a lot more of these "polls" in the next twelve months. Jessica did not mention the margin of error for that poll.The polls have regularly had a margin of error of around 3.5% which is quite a lot and does mean the two main parties are neck n neck. Thanks for summarising Luxons predictable comments. When he was about to spout forth on the Breakfast programme this morning I turned the tv off because listening to his waffled misinformation is not a good way to start my day.
The Media are their own worst enemy. Readers, watchers of TVNews are turning OFF in droves. The more ratings fall, the desperate attempts to 'gain eyeballs' have the oppisite effect.
Wholeheartedly agree that Mr Potato-head will drag the Nats away from power next year, I also agree that he should be immediately replaced with a female. Agree further that the next leader should be the smartest that they possess, Erica Stanford!!!
