As SHIT as this current version of a government I'd, it's wonderful to see how many mobilized today.

I'm in London atm w a sick elderly parent but have re-registered to vote to see the Tories out here. And have emailed my local Labour Party to volunteer.

Please people, contact your local preferred party and sign up if you haven't already....this will help build mome tum in the lead.up to the next election. It takes a lot of effort contacting and rustling up volunteers and donations at election time so please consider joining your proffered party now.

There always comes that time you have to step up, to step out your comfort zone and say enough is enough. This is one of those times

I set my alarm for the first time in years. 5.15 am. Shower, coffee, load my trusty punk rock band PA into the Holden, another coffee for the road and up to the Whakatāne hub, set the PA up and hand it over to the organizers.

Massive crowd, great vibes. Hikoi down Landing Road which was blocked for about an hour.

We will not be canceled.

I set my alarm to, and am ashamed of myself for not rising. Really am. But kindness to self is important to, and today I will be working on my flagpoles, getting another two ready for the top paddock..............with my E Tū flag..........that's my thing, my protest, my reminder. Good on you. Wonderful to see all the flags, I am a flag kinda guy....not nation flags but more creative.....but I want the traders flag up and tino rangitira flag. That will get the neighbours talk'n. I have a Palestinian flag up.....neighbours don't seem, or don't want to know what it is. That is my nation flag exception, and maybe the Cornish resistance................and tangata whenua resistance. We were starting to make progress after 240 plus years of waiting............too much for some eh.

Wellington is buzzing. I work smack bang in the middle of the railway station and the Beehive so have a fantastic view of all the people and sooo many flags, beautiful harmonised singing, lots of horns tooting in support. Very impressive. I'll be joining them in 15 minutes.

Ka pai to mahi! I’m so moved to see people saying enough is enough. No more making our vulnerable even more so - time to send a strong message to this hoha excuse of a government, you don’t speak for us!

A sizeable gathering at the clock tower in Hastings at 7am, makariri but a lovely positive vibe. Police were really part of the community - nice!

Train from Upper Hutt packed and the vibe is chill. Left people on platform from Waterloo on. They will catch the next train. Singing Tatou Tatou e now. My friends coming from Waikanae say it’s buzzing over there too. Moving and exciting!

LOVE the photos of the flags in the morning light Nick........I failed to rise up...........but I have to forgive myself for that.................my heart is there totally. Well done and thanks for this. A unifying thing.........in context trying to divide us. It will backfire on them..............if we use the power we have available to us....................

Kia kaha from this staunch supporter. Is there a livestream available? I’d be at Parliament if I could but I’m not physically able in crowds.

Good on you Nick! My partner and I joined an enthusiastic crowd in Motueka high street to register our disgust for this awful government. Some amazing haka by young tamariki prepared to voice their feelings about this attack on Te Tiriti and all our hardworking low waged workers doing it tough and having salt rubbed into the wounds of oppression by these sociopaths!
