The Herald fan club, (and the corresponding chapters at Stuff, TVNZ et al) do seem to have developed a few doubts about the man who used to run an airline. I look forward to them realising that Luxon’s lack of vision is actually consistent with the whole National Party - nothing to believe in except maintaining the money-go-round.

Where is the fire in Luxons belly. Can't he make a speech showing passion for what he believes in. Is he an AI robot.

I don't think he has any passion, except for thd image he sees in his mirror

Thank you, Nick, again for Sharing, so we can all share.

This will come back to you twofold. Not sure that's the right word.

I don't hold my breath regarding luxon & the others.

I read somewhere, 80,000 are expected at Waitangi .

That is Huge.

Yeah, nah that coc up of a coalition will either not go or make a very hasty retreat.

Stand up. Show up. Aotearoa.

Time to show our collective true colors.

I tautoko what everyone else has said so far in their comments above. Superbly said, Nick. As usual. And I understand your uncertainties about letting the paywall down for these posts, but totally agree with you that it’s important your analyses reach as many people as possible. Hopefully this will bring you more paying subscribers. I’m hearing people wax lyrical about your posts and suggest they sign up. Hopefully they will. Thanks again for all the work you put into your posts.

Some of the reason that Luxon shows no vision is that he knows his and the National party’s real vision is so unpalatable to many kiwis. That vision is me first, you behind, wealth, privilege, greed and excess but only for me. Little doubt the truth would be greeted by those who have these visions and would demonstrate clearly to the majority of kiwis just how bad the visions are for them.

His only vision was seeing himself knighted. The rest he has no interest in. I don't even think he is a good bigger picture style of leader, let alone know the context and/or finer detail of what CoC are upto.

I feel that the biggest problem for Luxon, is that he had no idea of just what actually the role of PM entails , and he is simply not able to do what is required ie Leadership and Vision to name but 2.

Great points made Nick. I must admit I did laugh wryly at the image of Luxon celebrating Waitangi Day at the Takapuna Boating Club! The great Clubrooms of Diversity, I'm sure!

Well I agree they are slaves..........to the men who paid for their campaigns. They are not free people. They are not puppets they are SLAVES

Classic "Good Cop Bad Cop" routine.

He, Luxon looks reasonable when compared with Winston's sourness Shane's verbosity and Seymore's twisted logic. That is what he is trying to convey "I am a safe pair of hands" when he is hand in glove with the bad actors imo. and pleased to use the distractions to hide his rich mates "investing" and becoming "shareholders" in NZ Inc. carefully diluting or removing the Maori voice.

I’m looking forward to Waitangi Day! Some essential truths will be exposed!🍀

I'd love to be at Waitangi this year to watch the Fireworks! If the peaceful folks at Ratana Pa were booing Winnie & the Big mouthed Kahuna there, what will Nga Puhi's reaction be to these Uncle Tom Bozos???

Hope everybody puts brand new Energizers in those Dildo's, sufficient to Buzz those 2 tired Rodeo Clowns off the Stage & out of Northland. They'll hopefully end up with a Lifetime Supply of "Only used Once Batteries & Buzz Cocks"!

I don't think they could be misconstrued as "Awards for good Citizenship", but if anybody could twist that one into some kind of Macabre Reality it would surely be Shane Jones.

Goofy Dave on the other hand might receive a box of Hangi Rocks & a good Soup Recipe for his Welcome onto Te Tiritis Marae. Maybe a bit of Tenderizer as well & it might not be a Joke if the slinky l'il Shit Stirrer even shows up.

The Tumb will receive an Empty Tea Cup with Tannin Stains in the Bottom around the Smiley Face emoji for him to ponder the meaning of. He might get it someday when he's a Former Crown Colonist Governor without a Knighthood, Medal, or other stuff to flog off on Trademe to pad his retirement years. He might even need to sell his Peter Pan Shadow to keep up with his Cohorts that cast no Shadows, or reflection in Mirrors.

I would love to be there with a Battery Pak & Video Cam to record Christopher Custer's Last Stand!

Well said Nick. Luxoon is doing what all CEOs do - hide behind other people and hope nobody works out his ceo speak for what it is - utter rubbish. He thinks people are in awe of CEOs but this not America!

I'm going to Waitangi. I'm just planning a message T-shirt type garment (I can't stand T-shirts) to create for the occasion. Something as tactful as I feel about Lux.......yesssss, hmmm

I'm a subscribed reader and more than happy for you to make the current topic free. At least til after Waitangi. This is an important topic. It's our future as a nation we're debating.

I think you give a pretty balanced view and hopefully you get everyone thinking about the big picture, the evil of greed, and power last.

If we could afford it I'd happily pay an additional subscription but alas, we can't.

Keep up the good work.
