In case you're wondering why this is free, I kind of figured this one might get a lot of likes. It's always hard to know, but I had a feeling this would end up getting opened up, so I've pre-empted it. As always, I really appreciate your support, which enables me to share this with others who perhaps cannot pay or find others who might. Anyway hope it's a good one.

The only thing harder to listen to than 2ZB is the vacuous word salad that emanates from our bald Chicken and his associated banshee in full denial.

Depressing to hear that the bimbos of 2ZB have spawned a more demented support crew. One cements old white male mental ineptitude and the other provides an excellent case for exporting South Africans who are intent on spreading disinformation and creating racial divide in our country. No time for Atlas Puppets.

As unemployment continues to rise it would be a great benefit to the country if these biased and ludicrous presenters you refer to were to be made redundant so they could share in the suffering so many are experiencing as a result of this hopeless coalition. Would be hard to call them a Govt because they are not governing the country at all they are condemning it to a death by a thousand cuts, unless you are one of the fortunate who receive the water fall up approach. As for Luxon, and for the umpteenth time, the worst PM ever in my long time as a voter. Forgive Barry Nick he was drunk at the time and wasn't sure who he was actually writing about. It's all somebody's fault.

Thanks Nick, The Heather and Bazza folly-a-trois+ one on the way must be a weird and toxic environment for the toddler. Heather is a yeller with a mix of 'values' from another place and it seems desperate instincts to emulate the worst retoric of those employed at ZB. When Bazza was still reporting from Parliament, I remember him berating JA for not finishing a presser in time for Heather's late afternoon session. Not sure whether he is sozzled or informed by feedback from aforesaid toddler's early language learning (repetition of what they hear). If he sees Luxon as successful then he is certainly without insight or clarity.

If I could have one Christmas wish come true,it would be that Iggy will grow up to become the greatest left wing politician this country has ever seen. It would be the best present I could possibly imagine to give his vile, bitter parents. I feel very sorry for him and any other offspring this couple produces.

Perhaps a vasectomy for Bazza would be something else to put under the Christmas tree?😃

Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone. Don’t do anything too sensible!!😁😁😁

I'm definitely not a fan of 2ZB, but I do enjoy some of the nighttime hosts, particularly Marcus Lush. I just wish he wasn't associated with ZB as he doesn't fit their mould. I can't bring myself to listen to HDPA or Manic Mike unless I want to ruin my day!

barely sober and his dipshit baby wifey can buzz off back to the beehive pub where bazza can carry on soaking it up on the cheap as hes done most of his life..maybe hes just a wee bit too old to have yet another baby and its keeping him up at nights..hence the mush brain..a more sickening couple youd be hard pressed to find...oh wait the previous two..my cockskin and kooky katey would most certainly vie for that title..shitheads the lot of them and a pox on their houses

Just listening to "How to Re-assemble an Atomic Bomb" as your article popped into my email, Nick. I think it's left-overs from other album efforts, but is way more likable IMO that some of their other recent efforts. I wonder where people think the money is borrowed from? The reason our rate of inflation is not 1.something % is that No Boats is having the reserve bank print money. Then the ferry-less one isn't taxing at a high enough rate to destroy the money again, so the supply of NZD is increasing and we are running a local inflation rate more like 4.something % as the value of NZD falls. The international rate of inflation was negative for the last quarter. I believe she's hoping to reduce the value of the dollar to increase the income of exporters. This is without any increased productivity or opening new markets (FTA's). Also the lower interest rates might stimulate the property market so people feel a bit wealthier (a few will be very much wealthier in reality too) and spend more money in the local economy, re-raising the facade of prosperity and good numbers while our economy is still fragile, our tax base is narrow and unfair, and our public sector and infrastructure is still grossly under-funded.

Luckily I don't know how to tune into ZB and never want to!. But it is interesting who does. A nurse I visited this week (one day after the strike) told me she always listens to ZB on her way to and from work. That's where she gets her political news. Heather, and Mike, she said. Me screaming inside, trying to remember that we need to reach out to people without lecturing them, but honestly, some days.

I know what you mean, Darien. There’s a SA checkout operator at my local supermarket, who gets his politics via Mike Hosking. If possible, I avoid his aisle.

Darien, nurse needs to remember where her pay & conditions come from! Who protects them! And who erodes them!

Luxon and HDPA are what my old man would have referred to as "I'm alright, pull up the ladder Jack".

Great Kōrero Nick, I think “Two farts beat as one” would’ve been an excellent title, made me laugh, luckily I had finished my coffee.

I can’t listen to ZB, it’s just too aggravating, Simon Dallow is almost as bad. I was brought up in a family who thought being up to speed with news and current affairs was important, we watched the news every evening. I’m often tempted to give up this lifetime habit, but then I think it’s best to keep an eye on what’s happening, even if it does provoke much exasperation and occasional bad language.

Agree with you about U2, they put out some great music early on, The Joshua Tree is my favourite album, the last good one perhaps 🤔.

I do like their later stuff too. Joshua Tree was a great album but I also love Achtung Baby. I quite like Three News, but it's getting hard to find good news sources. I especially feel the lack of a decent local newspaper.

🙋 Same Diana - 6 o'clock TV news was a family habit, but lifestyle made it harder & harder to do, and the world didn't end! In general now I prefer the WRITTEN news so I can choose what to engage with (rather than some editor's choice of what to highlight) plus the internet sites for TV can be access for either highlights or the full bulletin later at night when life is quieter 🤷 And clips are also shared on YouTube. So I subscribe to The Spinoff, SCOOP, Stuff, RNZ news & podcasts, & a few Aotearoa substackers to help understand context & enjoy knowing I am not alone (plus naughty GOOGLE News for a quick trip around global happenings)

It is recognised that following major surgery the memory, concentration and logical thought processors can be effected. Perhaps we can understand Barry's illogical opinions. But Heather, well, your guess is as good as mine!
