They don't understand the interdependent nature of the economic system in which they live, provided them with public goods, without which they couldn't exist. Those people have Americans influencing, paying maybe ( i think they should be investigated) . The guy representing them up North in Kaitaia can't remember his name but was a good article about them in Stuff who are doing investigative journalism about them is American.
