Nicole McKee must have a lot of influence in the Act party. She has her connections to the NRA in the US and she has consistently rubbished the idea of a gun register. The example she likes to quote is the gun register set up in Canada which according to her has been a failure. How she has measured that is anybody's guess.Brooke Van Velden is apparently being brave-giving up her List MP status, and standing in Tāmaki against NationalMP Simon OConnor. She has suggested that it will be a change for the voters of Tāmaki to have the chance to vote for a "young, vibrant woman", instead of old Simon. Young she may be, but I have yet to see any vibrancy from her. !

It's interesting to read just how those firearms wind up in the wrong hands, Burglaries where the weapons were not stored in a proper gun safe, and being purchased by 'strawmen' who have the necessary licences who then sell the guns to the undesirable types.......

Yep, let's adopt the Aussie tax rubric.

It's clearly what's holding back the rich who are always saying they'll move over the ditch where the grass is greener, and it would be great to help them on their way.
