God he even lies about being a debater ffs - has this con artist got a single principle he wont sink below. Thanks again Nick, please keep it up - we can let them and their media shills dishearten us and suppress the vote, which is clearly the intention, grrr.

I'm pretty sure Christopher Luxon, who seems very proud of his achievements, will not have forgotten that he won a prize for debating. I, however, am wondering how he won the Southland Old Boys prize when he went to secondary school in Howick, Auckland? Or have I missed the connection somehow?

Yip he won that award it seems in Chch via Wiki...

"14] After a year at Saint Kentigern College and another year at Howick College, the family returned to Christchurch and Luxon spent three years at Christchurch Boys' High School where he won an award for debating. [15][16][17] He studied at the University of Canterbury from 1989 to 1992, gaining a Master of Commerce (Business Administration) degree.[18]"

Thanks Winston, that clears it up! I did a quick search but obviously not to learn that he returned to Chch!

He lived in Christchurch and went to school there. He has talked about that. He may have also gone to school in Auckland. I'm not sure about time periods, but I do know the family lived in Christchurch for a period. My niece flatted with one of his brothers, and that was in Christchurch. That brother apparently is a greenie.

Yes the vast majority of adult New Zealanders are children and that's why both National and ACT do not want the voting age to go down to 16 years old. It's these youngsters who have a handle on what is happening and can see straight through this sordid plan of National. They are the adults in the room. Short term fixes do not work. It is akin to Auckland Council (read Wayne Brown) selling Auckland Airport Shares (Paul) to pay Peter and not leaving them to accrue to have a solid base of finance for later on. Also Luxon is a master at lying, a prerequisite for his party, not telling he has a debating past! But then when has he used this? He has been a CEO where he has just told people what to do without debating whether his actions are correct or not. So we will just see what happens.

I enjoyed Oasis Nick. I haven't listened to them before. I listened to both Master Plan, and Don't Look Baxk In Anger. Yes- apparently THREE ECONOMISTS have crunched the numbers for Luxon's tax cuts, and there is a huge hole in their budget- somewhere around 500 hundred million dollars.

Glad you like it, "Don't look back in anger" is another favourite of mine. I remember putting it on to play at Shadows at the time (the Auckland Uni bar).

Most of my favourites are the ones where Noel sings, though I’m a fan of Liam’s more ballistic vocals too.

It opens with them listening back to the track for the first time. Good read so far.

I was lucky enough to be at one of the Knebworth gigs. 125,000 fans singing Champagne Supernova in the pouring rain. Amazing atmosphere.

Love your posts. My greatest concern is both the major parties want to sell us kiwis out. National to the Chinese wealthy and Labour to Black Rock globalist 😪

Yes he went to school in Christchurch and the family moved to Howick before he was secondary school age. I don't get the Southland Old Boys link to either - maybe the debating competition he won was was a national one
