Some alternative collective nouns- Bald Sacks, Penile Colonialists, Shittle Cocks, Flaccid Flip Flops ( or flaps for Willis).

But as usual, the Bard himself has a good summary,-

“Thou leathern-jerkin, crystal-button, knot-pated, agatering, puke-stocking, caddis-garter, smooth-tongue, Spanish pouch!”

Love a good insult.

They were probably the same ignorant Karens that required all the name swopping because they couldn't cope with Waka Kotahi to reregister their cars. I mean, how hard is that? Everyone in NZ knows the word waka, so they only had to remember one other word. And, kia ora ... really, there's no cure for ignorant and stupid, so not much point calling Te Whatu Ora anyway. (Why hasn't anyone asked how much the rebranding is costing our under pressure government agency budgets?)

There are days when the combined horror that is our present government, the weather and ill health have me waking up thinking of the Anthony Newly epic "Stop the World I Want to Get Off". There, that dates me, doesn't it?

Thanks Nick for Ryan Gosling - he is deliciously talented, and funny. I did not see the Oscars so lovely to see that performance. Thanks also for the Luxon send ups. So funny, but also seriously apt. What a tosser that man is. And you were right to point out his lie when he said that renters would be happy that landlords would be getting huge amounts of money in tax breaks. Much more money than what the average worker will get from their income tax break. If, and when it ever materialises. You are also right that people do not like the perjorative use of the word "CUNT". I am one of those people. I wonder when it was that a womens body part becamea negative, awful swear word. You used it correctly in that context, and you were absolutely right in your sentiments. I support those sentiments.

I believe the Latin for the "C" word is Cunis. You could try that.

Nick Rockel the thinking man's answer to the coalition of c----s 😂🤣😅. What I find so refreshing about your korero today is the knowledge I'm not alone in my amazement of how shallow and insecure so many haters of Te Reo seem to be. I too look up Reo words, just like when I read a word in a book that I don't know the meaning of. What do I have to lose, other than my ignorance?

Those people who revel in others misfortune are very sick individuals themselves, but then when I listen, watch, or read the commentary of Seymour, Shane Jones or Winston First I understand that there are some appalling examples of political figures whose every utterances seem to be aimed at inflating their own sense of importsnce whilst simultaneously putting down others. Pull ya Benefit was a great champion of this craft. I hope the worker has the apples to stand up to the bullys at their workplace and continue using 'Kia Ora' and 'Nga Mihi'. It's surely not a sackable offence to use this countries FIRST language

Don't you love a bit of Terry Pratchett?? "Admittedly he moved his lips when he was thinking, and the thoughts could be seen bumping against one another like dumplings in a stew, but he was not stupid. Not what you'd call stupid. His brain got there in the end. It just went the long way round. "He's a man of few words, and he doesn't know what either of them mean," people said, but not when he was within hearing.

Now how many of this COC would this apply to??

The Herald headline with "Guilty" in oversized lettering was hardly classy. I certainly didn't have a problem with your use of that particular collective noun. Quite apt for that group.

I don't want to make this comment about me but the use of Te Reo in waiata this afternoon at my new born baby grandsons cremation was the most beautiful expression of love ever! Basically the haters and the current shambles of a government can go fuck themselves if they think that most decent people in this country are going to stop using our other official language. I'm a Pakeha grandfather of 4 tangata whenua mana wahine. Imagine if I said to them they couldn't express their rich cultural heritage because I didn't understand it - we all need to stand up to this mad attempt to drag us back in time to the gross assimilation polices of a bygone era.

Watching the newshounds hounding Golriz Ghahraman at her court hearing left me frothing with rage. Regardless of what she did, here is a person who has been through trauma - starting from an early age - that we can't begin to imagine.

We are currently seeing a virulent form of hounding and harassment towards Princess Kate who has had a major operation and requires peace and rest in order to fully recover. We see the same hounding and harassing of Prince Harry's wife, Meghan.

We watched Jacinda Ardern put through the vilest of hate campaigns which continues to this day, and I strongly suspect we don't know the full story. And before her, Helen Clark was the subject of disinformation and profanities.

What do they have in common? Pretty obvious. They are all women. There are plenty of us who also have stories of our own because at some point in our lives we dared to stick our heads above the parapet.

I don't know the answer to the conundrum. All I know is that it is incumbent upon society as a whole to counter this behaviour and stop letting the perpetrators get away with it.

Oh Nick, in these dark political days we need your satire !!

The use of Kia ore & Nga mihi, as most will know, is commonly used in State Dept & companies letters. Not so much the 2 "karens" who complained but the pathetic manager who told the department staffers not to use it is a problem.

Omg. I couldn't handle actually listening to the crap coming out of his mouth, but rnz showed a media standup bleat about the "economic vandalism" of Labour by luxury Luxon & debate-team David at field days somewhere. I guess they were surrounded by fans, so felt emboldened. May the smell of bullshit linger in their nostrils for some time, but it won't be from the animals. Labour need to come out swinging over stuff like this
