Feeling discombobulated reading this thanks Nick as I kept vascillating between WTF? to hilarious then back to WTF? :/ There's the peril with Seymour - he comes across as a softly spoken weird wee numpty but his actual intentions and his end game are dangerous.

Another excellent piece, thank you Nick. I was so very dissapointed to read that seymour wants to fine parents whose childern do not attend school often enough. Now, the parents who fall into this catagory need wrap around parenting assistance so that they understand why it so important that their children get an education, not a fine which would just be another financial burden to endure , and then what if they don't pay on time do they get whacked with late payment fee's then perhaps a visit from a Court Bailiff ??? Pooor people to act are just a serious inconvenience to be beaten down at each and every chance.

There's a woman I follow on Twixxer whose daughter caused her no end of trouble. Ran away, didn't go to school. The poor mother spent so much time and energy trying to keep the child safe, let alone get her to school. With a fine hanging over her head, what sort of despair would she have gone through? As it is, she has had some good luck (and she worked very hard to get it) and things have turned around for the whole family. But there would be hundreds of other parents with children who wanted to run wild - and who can blame the kids for needing to find their own limits? But to blanket-fine parents is so cruel and heartless.

he is a very sick unstable person. Who hurt him ? I don't need to know, but, there is something fundamentally Wrong with his head!

Haha you know that was definitely not what I was thinking Nick! Once I’d passed the almost vomitting stage I became slightly hysterical imagining anyone would find these ridiculous tags anything but absurd and a childish attempt at humour! Oh my they are desperate to try to likeable and they must have lots of surplus funds sitting around waiting to be used up

How weird is this Nick? At first I thought it was satire. Which isn’t unusual when reading Act stuff. Not sweet or cute and as for funny, yeah nah. These troglodytes are from another planet. Wish they’d go back.

Great column, Nick. I have just one thing to not say about ACT’s so-called Valentines 🤮

I find this quite unbelievable. I actually thought this column was one of your prank columns Nick. Defies belief!

These are in the sleazy joke basket. If you could love a virus? or some other creepycrawly?

A fail.

Cool dancing Nick. Was the word you were contemplating "pathetic" for the smug members of the Act party. I was looking forward to seeing what the Gun lady's Valentine was to her partner. ???

Sounds more like a Gathering of the Clans attempt by Goofy Dave to Mobilize his perceived Base in a remedial attempt to give Momentum to ACTS policies, with, or without National, or NZ1st onboard.

Somewhere in the mists of time there's bound to be lurking ancient curses belonging to the clans of my ancestors (MacGregor, Davidson of Tulloch, Curnow) ... I wish I knew them as I'd lay them on Seymour's despicable head!

Oh those ACT Valentine day cards have really made me quite nauseous. They're not remotely amusing or clever. They are beyond embarrassing - however as ACT members appear to have no scruples or good judgement I suppose it fits their 'style'. Gross!

Once I started laughing I couldn't stop......because it appears they thought this was a cool thing do. The patronizing tones seep through, even in the not so hideous ones. But I found them vaguely threatening and very unsettling. Perhaps my laughter had a slight touch of hysteria ......

I totally thought it was a pisstake and couldn’t believe it when I realised they put it out. So bizarre. We also call Brooke the Stepford Wife in our house.

Oh Nick I thought this was one of your joke columns and to find out it is for real is astonishing. What an ACT of hilarity these clowns have provided. What astute leaders and representatives the electorate has chosen. Hoggardness gracious me.

A highly successful promo campaign by ACT. Leading to lots of clicks, lots of comments. And these ruthless bstrds are ostensibly showing their "cute and goofy" side. ACT has a VERY competent PR team.
